Abstract
Inadequacies of the past methods for the detn. of pepsin in gastric juice are reviewed. The necessity for determining total pepsin on highly diluted gastric juice is discussed. A simple nephelometric method using either egg albumen or highly purified albumen substrates is described. An Evelyn photo-electric colorimeter is used as a densitometer. A method of converting the results into units which would be proportional to crystalline pepsin concn. is included.
