Limits on Charmed-Meson Production ine+eAnnihilation at 4.8-GeV Center-of-Mass Energy

Abstract
Data from e+e annihilation into hadrons at 4.8 GeV center-of-mass energy were used to search for charmed mesons in the mass range 1.5 to 4.0 GeV/c2. We looked for narrow peaks in the invariant-mass distributions for Kπ±, Ks0π+π, π+π, K+K, Kπ±π±, Ks0π±, Ks0K±, and π+ππ±. We present upper limits for the inclusive production cross section times the branching ratio for charmed mesons having these decay modes.
