Abstract
Evidence is given that in the fibers which form the voluntary muscle of vertebrates the striae represent, not transverse discs, but a helicoid. It may be single or double. In invertebrates the coarse fibers have a similar structure. In the delicate visceral muscles simple striae occur. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
