Abstract
Errors in high-voltage impulse measurements are classified as scale factor errors and errors due to limitations in response characteristics. Running work within the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) gives tentative requirements intended to keep the mentioned errors within reasonable limits. The theoretical basis of these requirements is presented and checked against some practical cases. Keywords
