Abstract
Lateral cephalometric radiograms of 443 children with cleft palate or cleft lip and palate and of 109 children with normal palates and lips were statistically analyzed by use of indexes and angular measurements. Both cleft palate groups that were operated on and were not operated on, and cleft lip and cleft palate groups that were operated on and were not operated on, showed a tendency for smaller proportional measurements in several vertical and horizontal parameters, and an obtuseness of cranial angles related to the sella-basion line.
