Abstract
Better saturation of proteins with dye could be obtained by dying with aqueous acetic acid soln. of amido black, resulting in a complete washing out of non-protein bound dye with diluted acetic acid. The reaction is accelerated by a temp, of 80[degree]. Elution of dye for colorimetric detn. of fractions is made with 50% methanol containing 5% [image] NaOH. The dependence of dye from protein concn. is linear between 500 and 600 m[mu], but there are big differences in the extinctions of protein fractions.
