Abstract
In spruce (P. abies) needles glutathione and glutathione reductase [EC 1.6.4.2] show a periodic seasonal variation with significantly increased levels during the winter. It is proposed that glutathione and glutathione reductase play an important role for the winter hardiness of leaves from evergreen plants. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
