Ninety‐Eight per cent of Norwegian low‐rise housing construction is in timber frame, a technique which has reached a high level of perfection with regards to thermal efficiency, air tightness and speed of erection. This paper makes a comprehensive life cycle analysis of both timber‐frame and log construction.
