Neutron Radiography of Fast Transient Processes

Abstract
Neutron radiography of dynamic processes is investigated. It is found that resonance-converter neutron imaging represents a promising technique for high-speed radiography. Theoretical results, obtained using edge-spread function analysis, were found to be in very good agreement with experimental observations. It is concluded that mathematical modeling can be used effectively to predict the dominant image quality characteristics of neutron radiographs of very fast transient processes.
