Abstract
HEALTHIER life-styles are more likely to be achieved if we know what patients' expectations are with regard to health education. The author, therefore, distributed health questionnaires to a random sample of his practice population and discovered that patients want to know more from their doctors about healthy life-styles, particularly what consti tutes a good diet and the value of regular exercise. The importance of parents, teachers, books and the mass media in nurturing healthy ways of life was also made apparent. Keywords
