Abstract
This paper shows how a sampling technique may be employed to record and simultaneously increase the signal‐to‐noise ratio of a waveform observed on an oscilloscope. The technique essentially trades bandwidth for time without sacrificing waveform fidelity. A salient feature is the minimum amount of auxiliary circuitry required in addition to readily available oscilloscope instrumentation. Keywords
