Abstract
Measurements of the intrinsic noise of a second harmonic flux-gate magnetometer have been performed in the 0 Hz to 5 Hz bandwidth. The digital Fourier analysis technique was adopted to extend the spectrum analysis to the very low frequency range. The dependence of the r.m.s. noise on drive current and the frequency spectrum of the noise at the operating drive level have been studied. Keywords
