Abstract
Aerobic and anaerobic oxidations of sulphydryl compounds are catalyzed by pure (metal-free) dithiodiglycollic acid. The catalysis is not inhibited by cyanide. The catalytic action disappears on destroying the [long dash]S[long dash]S[long dash] linkage in pure dithiodiglycollic acid. A reaction mechanism for the catalysis is suggested. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
