Abstract
The mechanism of the development of acute occlusion of the coronary arteries is subject to considerable discussion. Intramural hemorrhage has been suggested as a cause of acute occlusion by the hematomatous enlargement of atheromata without associated thrombosis. By a systematic study of coronary arteries with a special technic of injection and clearing of the vessels the frequency of this mechanism was determined. Keywords
