Abstract
The pH, Ca and P content of the stool of a group of rachitic children kept on a controlled diet with various therapeutic measures was studied. A degree of correlation exists between the pH and the Ca and P. The best clinical results were obtained in the group treated with irradiated cholesterol and in this group the feces were constantly acid. Healing occurs more rapidly when the P is consistently low.
