Abstract
The fluorotricarboxylic acid fractions isolated from tissues poisoned with fluoroacetate inhibited the reaction citrate[forward arrow]isocitrate to the same degree as the reverse reaction. The reactions of cis-aconitate to citrate and to isocitrate were less sensitive to the inhibitor. The inhibitor is considered to have a direct relation to the accumulation of citrate in fluoroacetate poisoning. Keywords
