Abstract
• The ignition of an endotracheal tube was caused by laser penetration of an unprotected portion of the tube during resection of laryngeal papillomas. We discuss the factors that contributed to the ignition, the hazards that were encountered, and the methods of prevention that were used. (Arch Otolaryngol 105:561-562, 1979)Keywords
