Social Change in London

Abstract

Despite its significance, the middle-class recolonization of inner-city areas, or gentrifica tion in London are examined and explanations are offered for this process. It is argued that gentrification has important implications for both the organization of the housing market and for traditional theorizations about the structure of cities.
