Abstract
Tetramethylammonium hydroxide has been used in the extraction and pyrolysis methylation of the carboxylic acids produced by periodate-permanganate oxidation of monounsaturated fatty acid methyl esters. This modification of the von Rudloff procedure allows rapid determination of double-bond positions and analysis of mixtures of positional isomers of monoenoic fatty acids. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
