Über das biologische Verhalten des Canavanins und Desaminocanavanins

Abstract

Subcut. inj. of canavin had no effect on mice but caused symptoms of poisoning in dogs. The blood sugar contents in dogs in creased slightly; the blood-pressure was not affected. Large injs. in frogs caused a distinct vasoconstriction. Desamino- canavin did not exhibit any of the above effects.
