Abstract
Waveguides prepared in neodymium-doped lithium-silicate glass by silver-ion exchange are discussed. Refractive index change and diffusion coefficient due to ion exchange are determined. It is observed that silver-ion exchange does not influence the emission wavelength of neodymium-doped glass. Keywords
