Abstract
Evidence accrued during the past two decades points to a genetic predisposition for alcoholism. The biological expression of the genetic vulnerability, however, is unknown. This discussion addresses the neurological manifestation of alcoholism vulnerability, including the biochemical, physiological and behavioral characteristics which appear to be associated with an increased risk for alcoholism. Keywords
