Abstract
This article is concerned with the description of a method which extends Raimy's PNAv technique for studying a client's self-references during psychotherapy. The author call his analysis the "Conceptual Matrix" method. It is composed of references to the self, the non-self, and the interrelations within and between these two poles. Although at this stage of development the method is still considered to be "crude and cumber-some," the author feels that with further refinement it has good possibilities for coordinating diagnosis, progress checks, and evaluation of therapy results.
