A Novel Quinidine Metabolism in a Suicide Case with Quinidine Sulphate Detected by Gas Chromatography--Mass Spectrometry

Abstract
Two new metabolites of quinidine were discovered in a suicide case. Their identity was established as a lactic acid conjugate by electron impact and chemical ionization mass spectrometry. The conjugations occurred in quinidine and in its, usually present, 3 hydroxylmetabolite.
