Abstract
Orange trees in sand cultures receiving culture solutions made with distilled water showed decline. The spotted leaves curled downward along the midrib, and many had corky and split veins. The use of tap water instead of distilled water or the use of distilled water containing a concentration of 0.2 p.p.m. of Al, I, Ti, Br, Sr, Li, Mn, B, and NH4, respectively, caused the disappearance of the symptoms of deficiency.
