Abstract
The liver of the squid Ommastrephens Sloani pacificus contains a polysaccharide fraction which on hydrolysis yielded the following components (paper chromatography): two pentoses, xylose and arabinose; one hexose; at least two hexosamines; one uronic acid and one methylpentose. The material did not Contain polyribophosphate, rihose or phosphorus.
