Abstract
Human teeth were placed in 10% neutral formol for 30 days, 1 mm. thick, longitudinal sections were cut to include discolored areas. The sections were fixed 60 days longer, decalcified, embedded, sectioned and stained. Microscopic examination revealed spheroidal microorganisms on the tooth surface and in the enamel. An invasion of microorganisms through apparently unbroken and intact enamel was observed. Keywords
