INHIBITION OF DCA INDUCED HYPERTENSION AND HYALINOSIS BY A DRUG ACTING ON MEMBRANE PERMEABILITY

Abstract
Concurrent admn. of Phenergan (3277 R.P.) and DCA (dexoxy-corticosterone-acetate) in sensitized animals prevented the development of the functional and morphological changes associated with DCA overdosage. This is ascribed chiefly to the antagonistic action of the drugs on membrane permeability and the consequent effects on intracellular Na content.
