Abstract
Increases in the pH of plant nutrient sols. represent in large part a greater uptake of nitrate ion than of bases. Additions of HNO3 to maintain a pH of 6 likewise maintains the NO3 conc. In cloudy weather the pH falls, due to excess uptake of bases. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
