Abstract
Although there are many publications on power system stability, the application of Liapunov's direct method to the study is relatively new. Gless[l] used an energy integral as a Liapunov function to study 1-, 2-, and 3-machine problems. El-Abiad and Nagappan,[2] also based their studies of the transient stability of a multi-machine system with losses on energy concepts. Keywords
