Abstract
Zigzag bands and bubblelike domains have been observed in Co‐P amorphous films deposited on Cu and glass/Cr+Au substrates in a rotating magnetic field. The observations were carried out by the Bitter technique. Zigzag domains on the top and bottom surfaces in the virgin state and two kinds of bubblelike domains in the perpendicular and in‐plane applied fields were observed. The domain’s alignment on the surfaces and in cross sections is due to perpendicular easy axis and to in‐plane anisotropy induced by rotating fields during deposition. These domains are very similar to those reported in single‐crystal YIG films. Keywords
