Evidence forK*(1250)Resonance Production inK+pInteractions at 9 BeV/c

Abstract

We present evidence for $K^{*}\mathrm{}\left(1250\right)\mathrm{}$ resonance production in $K^{+}p$ interactions at 9 BeV/c. We observe that the large $K\pi \pi$ mass enhancement in the region 1.1 to 1.5 BeV probably consists of three resonances at the observed masses 1.25, 1.36, and 1.42 BeV above a broad background due primarily to diffraction dissociation.
