Abstract
A new species of the marine gastrotrich family Thaumastodermatidae is described. Its organization shows that it has to be placed in the genus Teiranchyroderma Remane. It differs, however, in one important character from all the earlier known species of the genus and of the family as well, having cuticular hooks with three prongs. For this reason it is given the name Tetranchyroderma tribolosum sp. n. The known Tetranchyroderma species now fall, on the basis of the uniformly present cuticular hooks of the epidermis, into three groups, namely those with trian-cres, those with tetrancres and those with pentancres. Keywords
