Abstract
As Diodrast has a high iodine content, historadiog-raphy with soft X-rays was chosen for the localization. The theory of X-ray absorption in thin histological sections revealed that Diodrast in the tissue must reach a concn. of approx. 2% to be detectable by historadiography. This was also confirmed by expts., as a histological visualization of Diodrast was possible only in the kidneys of animals which had received approx. 2 ml. of 35% Diodrast/kg. body wt., or more. Most of the Diodrast was localized in the cells of the convoluted tubules. Keywords
