Abstract
2 albino rats were subjected to contact with mites (L. bacoti) by being placed close to a cage with a cotton rat (Sigmodon hispidus) which was heavily infected with Litomosoides carinii and was being fed upon by mites. 1 albino rat autopsied after 42 days contained 7 L. carinii worms in its pleural cavity, while the other albino rat, autopsied after 44 days, had 2 worms. The length of the infective stage within the mites was from 800 to 1,000 [mu].This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
