Abstract
Several of the common sulfa-drugs were injd. individually in saline soln. or suspension directly into the body cavity of the Florida cockroach, Blaberus craniifer. The dosages were detd. on the basis of mouse tolerances per unit of body wt. No sulfa treatment affected the bacteroids as detd. by killing and fixing the roaches, sectioning in paraffin and staining in hematoxylin. High cones, of penicillin destroyed or reduced the numbers of bacteroids and this was followed after some days by the death of the roaches. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
