Influence of Cortisone on Leptomeningeal Reaction Induced by Talc.

Abstract

In the rabbit, the leptomeningeal reaction to talc given intrathecally was markedly diminished by the daily intramusc. admn. of 10 mg. of cortisone acetate per kg./body wt. The leptomeningeal reaction was diminished also following the intrathecal admn. of hydro-cortisone, 10 mg. given twice.
