Abstract
(Second of Two Parts)Efficacy of Body CTThe evaluation of body CT is more complex than that of head CT because of the need to consider separately so many organ systems and presenting symptom complexes (e.g., patients with unexplained abdominal pain, jaundice or a pelvic mass). Furthermore, there are many effective noninvasive competing diagnostic modalities for studying diseases of the body. Diagnostic accuracy Lungs and pleura. CT has considerable theoretical application to the lungs, and some practical impact has already been shown. CT may help distinguish benign from malignant tumors and tumor from inflammation,95 , 96 and its attenuation coefficient numbers . . .Keywords
