Diagnostic Roentgenology in Congenital Heart Disease

Abstract
The present state of roentgen diagnosis in congenital heart disease is disputed. Factors determining heart size, shape and variations in the beat, as well as the use of the ancillary signs of pulmonary vasculature are discussed. A physiologic-morphologic classification of congenital heart disease is presented. The specific roentgen findings and differential diagnosis of all the common congenital malformations are considered. The role of venous and arterial angiography is discussed.
