Abstract
An overview of the psychological and behavioral consequences of dementia on sufferers is provided. Psychological interventions for improving the quality of life of patients, difficulties of diagnosis, the role of general practitioners, and the contribution of psychologists in the management of dementia are discussed.Keywords
