The image of a shear loop in a cubic crystal

Abstract

Small shear loops in a cubic crystal are investigated by the method used in an earlier paper. Calculations are made of the image formed in an electron microscope for various directions of beam and orientation of loop. The effects of anisotropy are found to be small so that for practical use it is possible to make rapid estimates from isotropic theory.
