Successful Replantation of a Totally Avulsed Scalp following Prolonged Ischemia

Abstract

We describe the successful replantation by microsurgical revascularization of a totally avulsed scalp following twenty-four hours of cold ischemia. Technical considerations involved in the procedure are discussed and compared with previous reports in the literature.
