This paper addresses some of the complexities surrounding the use of stimulant drugs for behavior and learning disorders. The problems of diagnosis, professional communication, follow-up, and role of other therapies are discussed. Parents are warned not to accept simplistic treatment programs lacking careful diagnostic evaluation and continued follow-up.
