Abstract
A method is given, and a computer program described, for the automatic testing of a power system under critical line and transformer outages. The technique permits the estimate of voltage drops and line loadings for each network element out of service and performs those load flows for conditions which exceed the allowable operating limits. Results from the use of this technique in a number of actual planning studies are presented. Keywords
