Abstract
The previously made absorption-band assignment (1) for the C=S stretching mode in xanthate-type compounds, 1020–1070 cm−1, has been confirmed by the characteristic behavior of the C=S dipole in a range of different solvents (Bellamy and Rogasch (2)).Keywords
