Abstract
A comparison was made between biphasic brain heart infusion medium without and with 15% sucrose in vented blood culture bottles. A higher recovery rate (P < 0.01) of fungi [Candida albicans, C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis, Cryptococcus heoformans, Histoplasma capsulatum and torulopsis glabrata] was noted in the medium without sucrose. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
