Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A sixteen-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of weakness.Six months previously her skin was noted to be yellow. She became weak and lost her appetite one month before entry, and three weeks later malaise, chills and fever developed. The urine became dark, and she experienced occasional headaches and vague abdominal pain.Physical examination revealed a very pale, icteric girl who appeared moribund.
