Abstract
Using the adrenodemedullated diabetic hypophysectomized (ADH) rat weighing approx. 200 gs. it was found that 0.000125 unit of insulin (0.125 milli-unit) administered intraven. caused a significant lowering of the blood sugar. The prepn. of the test animal and the technic of the assay was described. The change in blood sugar of the test animal was taken as the measurement of the insulin effect. The dose-response curve showed a linear relationship between the arithmetic value for the change in blood sugar and the logarithm of the dose of insulin. Keywords
