Multiple Clones with Increase in Number of Chromosomes in the G Group in a Case of Myelomonocytic Leukemia

Abstract

A 71-year-old man with myelomonocytic leukemia was found to have multiple cell lines in the peripheral blood and bone marrow. One line was apparently normal and the other lines showed increases to as many as 8 chromosomes in the G group. Many of these supernumerary chromosomes appeared to be Y chromosomes. Additional findings included scattered gains and losses of chromosomes in Groups C, D, E and F.
