Abstract
Addition to the food of Drosophila larvae of DNA from calf thymus induces a considerable number of recessive lethal mutations in the 2nd chromosome. An analysis of sixty-six such lethals showed that most of them affect the same segment containing probably some thirty to thirty-five sub-units capable of mutating together or separately. Keywords
